BREEN, Michael

Michael’s first attempt at racing ended with a very broken pinto engined Sports 2000 at Snetterton in August 2008.
He had much more successful outings driving the Team BX Sport Citroen Xsara in 2 races at Brands Hatch taking a second and a first in class in November 2008.
Business commitments have since kept him away from the track.

BROPHY, Michael

The Waterford based businessman achieved one of his ambitions by taking part in a motor race in May 2008. He drove the Team BX Sport Citroen Xsara with Gary Cole at Mallory Park in the CSCC Tin Tops to finish 6th overall.
A GT40 was bought as a track day toy and Michael enjoyed several outings at Brands Hatch and Mondello Park before buying a Ginetta for racing. A single outing in the G20 at a Snetterton test session was unfortunately all he managed before illness prevented him from racing. He has since sold the car.
He still has a passion for motorsport and is currently involved with the development of a GT/Sports race car.
